Early Life and Education

Born on December 7, 1972, in  Zhejiang Province, Shao Honghua was destined to make significant strides in the realm of international trade. His academic journey began at Zhejiang University, one of China's most prestigious institutions, where he pursued his undergraduate studies.

Driven by a passion for economics and trade, Shao continued his education at the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE), earning a Master's degree and laying the foundation for his future endeavors.

Professional Ascendancy

Shao Honghua's career commenced post-graduation with a position at the Academy International Trade and Economic Cooperation under the Ministry of Commerce of China. From 1997 to 1999, he honed his analytical skills in the Meida Research Office, gaining invaluable insights into international trade dynamics.

In 1999, Shao transitioned to the corporate world, joining Alibaba Group as the Northern District Manager. His tenure at Alibaba, from 1999 to 2001, was instrumental in understanding the power of e-commerce and its potential to revolutionize traditional trade practices.

Pioneering in Trade Data

In 2001, Shao Honghua embarked on an entrepreneurial journey, founding Globalwits Company. This marked the beginning of a new era in the field of China trade data industry.

Under his leadership, the company has grown to become a global leader in providing international trade data and analytical tools, serving tens of thousands of enterprises worldwide. His clients span a diverse range, from top 500 foreign trade companies to multinational corporations, listed enterprises, and foreign trade businesses.

Contributions to Trade Digitalization

On February 22, 2022, Shao Honghua authored and published the first book in China on the field of trade digitalization, titled "Trade Digitalization: Creating New Dynamics, New Formats, and New Models of Trade."

The book, published by the Machinery Industry Press, encapsulates his vision and expertise in leveraging large data for trade enhancement.

His dedication extends to roles within the Digital Economy Branch of the China Association for Trade in Services and the Expert Advisory Committee at Shanghai University of International Business and Economics' Statistics Department.
